Probiotics and Weight Loss

Someone wrote in to an advice column in our local paper asking if multivitamins can make you gain weight. The person had apparently begun taking a multivitamin and found their appetitie increased and they began to gain weight. The answer was that it is possible that a multivitamin can activate some of the bacteria in your gut in ways that make you metabolize food better and absorb more calories. The article suggested taking a probiotic supplement in addition to the multivitamin. There is a chance that these helpful bacteria (probiotics) can restore the balance among all the bacteria in your gut and keep your digestion healthy and your weight intact.

You can also ask your doctor do I need a multivitamin. He or she can measure your fat soluble vitamin levels (such as vitamin D) and water soluble levels ones (B-12).

Probiotics supplements are great way to improve the health of your digestive system. With your digestive system functioning at peak efficiency you feel better and have more energy. If you want to learn more about probiotic supplements. Click on the link below or the one at the top of the post.
