Flaxseed Oil Benefit For Women
Most people would say that fat is bad for you but actually not all fat is bad for you. Scientific research has shown that excess amounts of saturated fats and trans-fatty acids (man-made molecules made from hydrogenating vegetable oils) can increase your risk for heart disease, cancer, diabetes, and other age-related maladies. These fats are found in beef, dairy, margarines, baked goods and other processed foods. But just one tablespoon of flaxseed oil can improve your health.
Flaxseed oil is an omega-3 fatty acid fat. Medical research has shown that both omega-3 fatty acids and lignans (lignans are phytoestrogens, or naturally occurring plant estrogens that can have a balancing effect on hormones) give important health benefits related to cardiovascular disease, cancer, osteoporosis, and menopausal symptoms.
Over 60 double-blind (neither the researcher nor the subjects know which group is given which treatment) sutdies show that either fish oil supplements or flaxseed oil (both rich in omega-3 fatty acids) are very effective in lowering blood pressure.
A study of 120 women revealed that those with the highest breast tissue levels of omega-3 fatty acids, found most abundantly in flax oil, had the lowest incidence of breast cancer. Of those that did develop breast cancer, they showed the lowest probability of the cancer spreading to other bodily organs.
Flax is also a rich source of ligans. Ligans have been shown to prevent the occurrence and spread of colon cancers by normalizing hormone metabolism responsible for the disease.
Here are some other conditions flaxseed oil can help improve:
High Cholesterol Levels
Angina
Cardiovascular Disease
Arthritis
Psoriasis and Ecxema
Skin Conditions Including: Dry Skin and Acne
Immune Suppression
Depression
Fatigue
Allergies
Behavorial Disorders
Chronic Viral, Bacterial and Fungal Infections
Inflammatory Bowel Disease
Kidney Disease
Multiple Sclerosis
Flaxseed oil can be used as an ingredient in salad oils, stirred into oatmeal, combined with a blender drink, mixed into yogurt or you can take it straight from the spoon.

I have been searching post on Flax Seed Oil.
I have had a phonominum to accur while using flax seed oil.
I am 44 years old and pre-mature grey at the age of 30.
I started using flax seed on the advice of my dietician , to help me in changing my diet due to diabetes. Here is the phonominum , with in one month of taking one 1000 mg flax seed oil capsules twice a day . In one month I noticed my grey hair was returning to is natural color. I was so amazed. My wife asked did you color your hair ? I said no – She was totaly upset because she like the grey. I on the other hand felt I have found the fountain of youth- words could not discribe.
I know everyone’s body chemistry is dif. and this may not have the same effect to others .
I would like to hear from those that have had this same phonominum to happen with flax seed oil. Please email me at shane_mcguirt@bellsouth.net
Thanks
