Reduce the Frequency of Urinary Tract Infections – UTI Prevention

O.K. Nobody likes a Urinary Tract or Bladder infection, and women are most prone to them. However you can take some simple steps to reduce the frequency and severity of UTI. If you do experience symptoms of a urinary tract infection, you should seek medical advice.

1. Take care after a bowel movement to wipe front to back. Stool can cary bacteria, and you want to make sure it doesn’t get into the urinary tract. On that same vein, you may want to take showers more often than baths. In Japan, they often shower before a bath. If you can’t give you your bath, this may a good idea!

2. Take care to clean your genital area before and after intercourse. On that same vein, you may need to change positions to make sure you aren’t irritating your urethra. Make sure your partner is clean too!
3. Wear cotton panties. Some fabrics trap moisture which can be a breeding ground for bacteria. Forego feminine sprays and douches if you suffer from frequent UTI as well.

4. Diet – Some studies show that adequate vitamin C intake helps your body fight off infections. ..and of course, there’s always the cranberry juice.

5. Drink Lots Of Water!

Natural Diabetes Care – Prevent or Reduce Symptoms of Diabetes

What’s with the diabetes epidemic?

It’s no secret that Americans are being diagnosed with diabetes at an alarming rate. Some of this is due to the fact that doctors are lowering the blood sugar levels in which they start treating their patients, and that’s because early detection can slow or stabilize the disease. Of course, some of it is due to the unhealthy food choices we are presented with. Notice, that I said the unhealthy food choices we are presented with – I am tired of the self blame game!

We commute far, work long hours, take care of our families (sometimes parents and children), and are presented with foods in the supermarket that appear healthy – blends of meats and vegetables. Unless we take a magnifying glass to the labels, it is easy to miss that many of these meals are loaded with sugar, fat, and salt  – along with who knows what of artificial preservatives and chemicals!
